Dayplo Privacy Policy
Effective: September 21, 2026 · Updated: October 1, 2026
Dayplo (dayplo.com, the "App") is a personal schedule and task manager. This policy explains what information the App handles and how.
1. Information we collect
- Account: display name, login ID, password (stored hashed)
- What you enter yourself: tasks, notes, due dates and times, recurring rules, and your language / holiday-country / time-zone settings
- Only if you turn it on: an e-mail address for the morning briefing, push-notification subscriptions for your devices, and Google Calendar connection details
- Photos you attach to tasks (reduced to about 1600 pixels on the long side before upload), so you can see them on each of your devices. Only you can view them.
2. Google Calendar data
Only when you press "Connect Google account" and grant permission, the App uses the Google Calendar API to:
- read your calendar events and show them in the App and in the morning briefing sent to you;
- create calendar events for tasks you chose to add to your calendar, and update or delete those events when the task changes;
- add events you create in the App to your calendar.
Your Google account e-mail is stored only to show which account is connected. The App does not use Google user data for advertising, does not sell it or share it with third parties, and does not use it to train AI models. The App's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
3. Storage and retention
- Data is stored on the App's own server, hosted at Amazon Web Services (Seoul region), and is not sent to outside services except those listed in section 5.
- Google Calendar events are read from Google when a screen or briefing needs them and are kept in server memory for at most 60 seconds. The only Calendar data written to the database is the ID of each event the App created and a copy of that event's title, date and completion mark, used to detect changes you make in Google Calendar.
- Google tokens are used only for calendar sync. Pressing "Disconnect" deletes them immediately and asks Google to revoke access. They are also deleted when your account is deleted.
- Deleted notes stay in the trash for 30 days so you can restore them, then are removed permanently. Photos are removed when you delete them or their task.
- Your data is kept while your account exists. You can disconnect any service in Settings at any time, and you can delete your account yourself in Settings → My account → Delete account (see how to delete your account); all your data, including Google tokens, is then removed. Database backups are kept for 14 days and then deleted automatically.
4. How we protect sensitive data
The App treats Google user data (your Google account e-mail, tokens and calendar events), passwords and everything you enter as sensitive and protects it as follows:
- Encryption in transit. All traffic between your device and the App, and between the App and Google, uses HTTPS (TLS). Push notifications are encrypted end-to-end with the Web Push standard (RFC 8291), so the push services cannot read their contents.
- Credential protection. Passwords are stored only as salted scrypt hashes. Google tokens are stored server-side, are never sent to browsers, never written to logs and never shared. Login sessions use HttpOnly, Secure cookies, and repeated failed logins are blocked for 10 minutes.
- Access control. The server accepts administration only over SSH with key authentication; the firewall allows only HTTPS and SSH. Only the operator can access the server. For customer support (answering your inquiries, investigating errors) and service operations (handling policy violations or security incidents), the operator can view the contents of your tasks, notes, events created in the App and special days on the operator dashboard. Each such access is recorded. Calendar events imported from Google and other Google user data are never viewed. No employees, contractors or other people have access.
- Least data. The App requests only the Google Calendar scope it needs, stores the minimum described in section 3, and does not copy your whole calendar.
- Incident response. If we learn of a breach affecting your data, we will notify affected users by e-mail without undue delay and, where required by law, the relevant authorities.
5. Third parties and processors
We do not sell or share personal information with third parties, and we do not transfer Google user data to anyone. The following providers process data only on our behalf, to run the App:
- Amazon Web Services (server hosting, Seoul).
- Amazon Simple Email Service, which delivers the morning briefing e-mail only if you turned it on and only to the address you entered.
- Browser push services (Google, Apple, Mozilla), which relay encrypted notifications to the devices you enabled.
- Google Calendar API, only while you keep your Google account connected.
6. Contact
For privacy questions, or to delete your account if you can't sign in, contact the operator at dayplo-support@googlegroups.com.
Dayplo
Dayplo(dayplo.com,
- Amazon Web Services (서버 호스팅, 서울)
- Amazon Simple Email Service (사용자가 켠 경우에만, 사용자가 적은 주소로 아침 브리핑 메일 발송)
- Google Calendar API (사용자가 구글 계정을 연결해 둔 동안만)
